DOLLAR BAY -- A Dollar Bay woman says she's homeless after a fire destroyed her apartment last month.

Cheryl Krohn was living alone at the time in an apartment attached to the Copper Country Moose Lodge.

She was hospitalized for smoke inhalation and another undisclosed medical condition.  Krohn was released Tuesday and now says she has nowhere to go.

"Everything I own is gone.  I have no place to go right now; I just have temporary lodging," said Krohn.

Krohn says she is currently looking for apartments in the Houghton and Hancock area.

For more information on how you can help her, contact Little Brothers Friends of the Elderly at (906) 482-6944.
