Need cross country skis?

MARQUETTE -- Recent snow flurries are a reminder that winter is almost here, and in the spirit, the Superiorland Ski Club is hosting a Ski Swap and Sale on Saturday at the Holiday Inn in Marquette.

Bring your cross country skis, roller skis, and related equipment and they will sell them for you.

Sales people will also be on hand at the event to help people price and select equipment appropriate for them.

A 15 percent commission on up to $50 an item will be charged, and all profits will support the Superiorland Cross Country Youth Ski programs.

"It's a great venue for people to come and look for entry level skis and, again, you are able to buy youth equipment and the little ones grow, you need to do that on a yearly basis sometimes," said Administrator Nicole Dewald.

The event is sponsored by the Superiorland Cross Country Ski Club.
