MARQUETTE -- International Education Week continued at NMU Tuesday as a session was held for students who were interested in internships abroad.
Now is the time to plan internships for next summer.
Informational sessions like these are important for the university's goal of internationalizing the curriculum.
"We can add a lot of international content to our courses here on campus and we do, but when students go abroad, it's a chance to gain a new perspective and to test those ideas out in the real world. It gives them a lot of exposure to practices, ideas, team building, cultural, cross cultural encounters, they simply can't get if they stay in a classroom here on campus," said Susan Morgan, Coordinator of Education Abroad.
