Snowy conditions Saturday morning lead to wet roadways, which resulted in several car accidents around the Upper Peninsula

REPUBLIC TWP. -- One of those accidents happened on M-95 near Witch Lake in Republic Township around 11 a.m. Saturday.

Fifty-year-old Steven Klamerus and his 51-year-old passenger, Rhonda Klamerus, both of Marquette, were southbound when he lost control of his 2008 Chevrolet Silverado.

Both occupants sustained non-life threatening injuries in the crash and were transported to M.G.H. by ambulance.

The driver had to be extricated from the vehicle.

Assisting troopers at the scene were Marquette County Search and Rescue 131, Republic Twp. Fire and 1st Responders, as well as Bell EMS.
