Crews called back to 8 Specker Circle Friday
MARQUETTE -- Friday, the Marquette City Fire Department responded to a call at 8 Specker Circle; the same location that a fire destroyed a home Thursday afternoon.
Upon arrival they discovered a small rekindle fire caused by embers in the wall.
Thursday's fire is believed to have started in the garage. It engulfed 70 percent of the structure by the time fire crews arrived on scene.
Friday, crews were on scene for about 30 minutes to stabilize the situation.
The Marquette City Fire Department says a rekindle fire is rare, but does happen.
