MARQUETTE -- Marquette residents now have a new way to share issues and ask questions from city managers.

The city will now host monthly community office hours at the Peter White Public Library.

Going to the City Hall to address concerns can be intimidating for some residents, and city managers are hoping this will make the approach easier.  But officials say these meetings aren't just about discussing problems.

"The most exciting thing about these meetings for me is the chance to chat with citizens about the good things they'd like to see coming," said City Manager Bill Vajda.  "A big part of what informs the activities and the vibrancy in the community is directly fed from the citizens."

Office hours will be held on the second Wednesday of each month from 10 a.m. until noon.
