ESCANABA -- The Escanaba man convicted of criminal sexual conduct with a girl under the age of 13 will spend up to 20 years behind bars.
Thursday, 41-year-old Corey Gene Walker was sentenced to 6 to 20 years in prison.
In September, Walker was found guilty of second degree CSC for inappropriately touching a girl in December of 2009.
In court, Walker maintained his innocence and says he will appeal, but the judge still sentenced him to a minimum of six years in prison.
"My emphasis has to be one the impact this has had on the young child. Nothing I do here today can undo the damage that you've done to her," said Judge Davis.
Walker will be credited for 94 days already served. He has already registered as a sex offender.
