Delta County airport on track for grant

ESCANABA -- The Delta County Airport has high hopes they'll reach 10,000 passenger boardings this year which means they'll get 1 million dollars in federal money.
    
Currently, numbers are around 7,000 but projected boardings for the next three months show they should reach their goal.
    
Airport officials say numbers have risen this year, especially with the addition of a third flight to their daily schedule.
    
If they get the money, officials say it'll be used for infrastructure improvements and maintenance.
