POLL - American Legion Smoking Ban
Smoking has been officially banned at the Baraga American Legion.
The order from Judge Charles Goodman was filed on Monday granting the preliminary injunction requested by the Michigan Department of Community Health.
Post 444 will now be required to comply with the state's Smoke-Free Air Act pending the outcome of its legal proceedings.
In a six-page explanation of his decision, Goodman found there could be substantial and widespread harm to the public in not granting the injunction.
