HOUGHTON, MI -- Fall Harvest was the theme of the first-ever wine tasting event at the Pilgrim River Steakhouse Thursday night.

There was a party mood in the air even before servers filled the first glass.

Guests listened to live music as they enjoyed an eight course meal starting with cream of pumpkin soup.  Each dish was served with a different wine from McCabe Distributing.

"A lot of the people here are from our community, and the majority of them are regular customers, so it's nice to have friends here and do something really special for them," said Pilgrim River owner, Chris Nyman.

The restaurant plans to make the tasting a regular event featuring different distributors each time.

The next tasting is scheduled for November 4.
