Hope to help offset cost of needed van

HARVEY -- Phillip and Lisa Hoffman are both confined to wheelchairs--Phillip suffering from muscular dystrophy and Lisa from cerebral palsy.

The pair have been married for seven years and recently had to purchase a new van, better equipped to transport them with their conditions.

"Phillip and Lisa had to buy the van; Phillip was a little bit overwhelmed with that, and so he approached Father Ben and asked if the parish community could help in any way, so Father Ben mulled it over and he decided yes, this young couple does need help because Phillip and Lisa are a special couple," says event chair Jean Paquette.

All of the money raised at Saturday's event will go toward paying off the Hoffman's van.

You can also mail donations to Saint Louis the King Church, 264 Silver Creek Road, Marquette, MI 49855, c/o Phillip and Lisa Fund Benefit.
