MARQUETTE -- The fall temperatures may be upon us, but for some that means it's time for a good run.

Saturday marks the 16th annual Lake Superior Shore Run in Marquette.  The run features a half marathon, a 5k run, and a 1k kids run, and starts in the Little Presque Isle parking lot at 10 a.m.

It will also feature individual prizes as well as prizes for the fastest team and the team with the most members.

If you would like to participate but aren't the running type, organizers say they still need plenty of volunteers.

"We're looking for a variety of volunteers; there's no real requirement, you just have to be able to walk," said Race Director Kara Graci.  "You can cut food, you can work at an aid station, you can help with registration, anything that you're willing to offer up, we'll accept."
