MARQUETTE -- Charges of home invasion and assault with a deadly weapon were dropped for a Marquette man Monday following a plea deal.

Thirty-four-year-old Ryan Saari plead guilty to felon in possession of firearms as part of a agreement with the United States and Marquette County Prosecutor's offices to dismiss the other two charges.

The federal firearms charge is unrelated to the dropped charges.

Saari admitted to keeping three firearms in a storage shed despite his felon status from a 2002 domestic violence charge.  He faces a maximum of 10 years in prision and $250,000 in fines.  His sentencing is set for December 14.

Saari has also been characterized as a person of interest in the murder of Marquette Township business owner Robert Dusseau last winter.  That case remains unsolved.
