IRON COUNTY -- An Iron County woman guilty of embezzling money from a hospital will spend time in jail.
Shelly Brooks, 37, was sentenced to nine months behind bars Monday in Iron County Circuit Court.
A jury found Brooks guilty of 20 counts of forgery, uttering and publishing, and embezzlement while she worked for Northstar Health Systems in Iron River.
She will also be on probation for two years and must pay more than $29,000 in restitution to the hospital.
In March, Brooks was sentenced to five years probation in Oregon for similar charges and must repay close to $20,000 to an Oregon hospital.
