MARQUETTE -- Marquette Senior High School is gearing up for their November musical.
Students lined up to audition for the Sondheim favorite, 'Into the Woods' Sunday afternoon...
'Into the Woods' is one of the most popular musicals in the Broadway repitoire, so naturally, many students showed up to try out.
The script is based on childhood fairy tales like 'Cinderella', 'Jack in the Beanstalk', and 'Little Red Riding Hood'.
But the musical has a dark twist and complex music, providing directors with a challenge...

"It's the beginning of the process, it's the beginning of a long journey that is exciting and challenging for everybody and 2 months from now it will turn into a full show, starting out with nervous students handing you a piece of paper to going to this full blown production," said Director, Jeff Spencer.
The curtain opens at Kaufman Auditorium November 18 and closes November 20.
