To help build a playground
SAWYER -- The South County Fund Committee has been raising money for youth programming for the past few years.
Sunday, they sponsored an all ages Dance Daze fund-raiser at the Tailwinds Grill and Bar in Sawyer.
They're currently raising money for a playground. Their goal is $6,000, and so far they've raised about $3,700.
"Every fourth or fifth Sunday of the month we've been having dances here, open to the public, to raise money for the playground, but also for the benefit of mostly our senior citizens," said Fund Committee members.
The committee's next fund-raiser is on September 19 at the West Branch Township Hall.
