HOUGHTON -- The South Range man accused of shooting another man this weekend was arraigned in Houghton County District Court Monday morning.

Thirty-seven-year-old William Thomas Andrews is charged with assault with intent to murder, a felony punishable by life in prison.

Andrews allegedly shot 27-year-old Joseph Sweeney, also from South Range, at the Veteran's Memorial Ball Park early Sunday morning.

Andrews is currently in jail without bond.  He'll be back in court for a preliminary exam on September 3.
