Freestyle motocross comes to Helps
HELPS -- Flips, tricks, and a lot of cheering and applause at the Sick Air Show in Helps Saturday. A large crowd was going wild for the riders in the show who perform a variety of freestyle motocross tricks. But that wasn't all the riders did--they performed handstands on their handlebars!
The show saw some beautiful weather; it was sunshine and blue skies in the early afternoon. Over 100 people came to cheer on the three riders.
Admission was $10 for adults, but free to children 12 and younger. Organizers say the event is something the whole family can enjoy.
"Sometimes we get really big crowds, sometimes not so much, but they always have fun and that's what it's about," said organizer Bruce Murray.
The motocross course is located 12 miles east of Felch off M-69. September 18 will mark the final Sick Air Show of the summer.
