You only have until the end of this month to register as a competing chef for this year's challenge
ESCANABA -- They're hoping for 25 competitors this year; however, officials say you don't have to be a professional chef to compete.
"We've had individuals, we've had businesses, we've had organizations, you know, different clubs from the area and then, of course, we have restaurants, too," says United Way Executive Director Julie Mallard. "This year, we're doing something a little different, we're having separate divisions for the restaurant and non-restaurant chefs."
All proceeds collected at the event go right back to the United Way.
