A mix of slow economic improvement and an early summer has helped the boat tours recover from recent slow seasons
COPPER HARBOR -- Things are looking up for tourism in Copper Harbor this year. At least that's what the folks at Copper Harbor Boat Tours are saying.
A mix of slow economic improvement and an early summer has helped the boat tours recover from recent slow seasons.
"This year, I just checked the figures for July last night, and we are six percent better, so it looks to me like there is an economic recovery, but it's slow," says Nick Rajacic.
The touring group also says that they've seen more freighters on Lake Superior this season, which indicates economic growth.
