New Page and union go back to the table

DELTA COUNTY -- After almost a month, New Page officials and the United Steelworkers Union will, again, be going back to the negotiating table...this time with a mediator.

Back on the first of this month, union officials temporarily called off negotiations to have New Page negotiators relook at the proposal they planned to bring to the table.

Both sides have been negotiating a new contract for over two years.

They plan to go back to talks on Friday with a mediator.  This is the first time a mediator has been called in.

The union represents over 800 employees at the mill.
