MARQUETTE -- Some of the U.P.'s tourism experts are taking time to become tourists themselves in Marquette.
It's part of the Travel Michigan and Welcome Center Groups' program called "Familiarization Vans". They are touring Marquette and stopping at some of its unique locations.
They say whether or not they've been to these places before, it's important to stay updated on different locations throughout the U.P. to foster a thriving tourism environment.
"We're touring, we're seeing lots of great things. We'll take all this back and make sure we share it," said Trudy Atwood, Travel Michigan. "One of the things we try to do is we try to give them enough information so they have to come back. Once isn't enough."
