ISHPEMING -- With elections right around the corner, it's time to start thinking about politics.

The Marquette County Democratic Party did just that Saturday at their second annual Summer Sizzle Party.

Democrats came together to enjoy a picnic and lots of politics.  Organizers were estimating that six to ten candidates would be on hand to talk about various topics, but that wasn't all that this picnic was about.

"It's an opportunity for all of the Democrats just to get together and talk about politics and talk about the issues," says Tony Tollefson of the Marquette County Democrats.  "At the same time, it's a fund-raiser for the Democratic Party at the local level."

All of the money raised at the picnic will go towards underwriting costs for the campaign.
