Everything was donated by community members
MARQUETTE -- If you're looking for something to do this Saturday or you're looking for that unique item, you might want to check out the U.P. Family Solutions rummage sale. It's the first fund-raiser for the newly formed non-profit organization.
They have hundreds of things for sale from baby items to antique furniture. Everything was donated by community members. They'll also have baked goods for sale.
Money raised will go to recruiting and the support of foster care parents.
"Every week we get calls from various agencies in the Upper Peninsula, looking to place a child in a foster care home, and we just need to constantly keep up and recruit new families in the area," said Executive Director, Rick Sanville.
The sale gets underway at 8 a.m. and runs until 2 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in Marquette.
