And many appeared thrilled
MARQUETTE -- As the weather continues to warm up, more signs of summer begin to pop up. And one sure sign of summer is the opening of the Farmer's Market in Marquette.
Marquette Commons was bustling Saturday morning for opening day with lots of shoppers.
While many produce items aren't available just yet, it's the perfect time to find plants and herbs for the garden, along with other goods such as soaps and postcards.
Many sellers saw a decent amount of traffic this morning and noted their popular sellers.
"Tomatoes!" says Shailah Kelto of Rock River Farms. "We have a lot of different varieties of tomatoes. Some heirlooms, cherries...everyone likes tomatoes!"
The Farmer's Market will be open every Saturday from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. from now until October 30.
