Tisket a Tasket has raised more than $25,000 for the Marquette Women's Center and Harbor House for domestic and sexual violence services
MARQUETTE -- Thursday evening, Select Realty is hosting its third annual "Tisket a Tasket, Bid on a Big Give Basket" fund-raiser at the Marquette Golf Club.
Over the past two years, Tisket a Tasket has raised more than $25,000 for the Marquette Women's Center and Harbor House for domestic and sexual violence services.
There'll be dozens of baskets to bid on in a live auction format.
The basket preview starts at 5 p.m., the auction starts at 6 p.m., and the grand prize drawing for a 32-inch flat panel TV is at 8 p.m.
"We challenge the businesses to make unique baskets. We auction them off over a very quick period. We plan this fund-raiser in about four weeks. We keep it just kind of push, push, push, and every year we wonder how it's going to go, and every year, it just gets better," said Karen Nygard, fund-raiser co-chair.
The entry fee is just $10, and that gets you one ticket to win the grand prize TV.
