The household rubbish site will be open every Tuesday evening starting April 20

MARQUETTE -- The City of Marquette is preparing to help residents get things in order for spring clean-up.

The household rubbish site will be open every Tuesday evening, starting April 20, from 3 to 7 p.m.  In addition, the site will be open Saturday, April 24, and May 1, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.  Then, beginning May 8, the drop-off site will be open the second Saturday of the month.

Some reminders about the household rubbish drop-off site:  it is located off of Wright St. between Presque Isle and Lakeshore Blvd.

You must present a driver's license and a city water bill.  And, because of new regulations, shingles and mixed loads containing shingles will not be accepted.

If you have any questions, contact the Marquette Public Works Department.
