All proceeds will go toward local non-profits

MARQUETTE -- If you have antiques laying around your house, you might want to head for the YMCA on Saturday.

The Rotary Club of Marquette will be holding their first antique appraisal fair Saturday at the Y from 10 a.m until 3 p.m.  Any items that can be carried in such as coins, jewelry, dolls, and toys are able to receive a professional appraisal.  Organizers hope the event will be beneficial to the community.

"That they have some idea what the value is.  It could be coins that you have no idea what it is that you have, and hopefully give you a price amount; if you are looking to insure it, you have a better idea of what it is that it should be insured for," says Rotary Chairperson Kathleen Lankinen.

Appraisals cost $6 per item or three items for $15.  All proceeds will benefit local non-profit organizations.
