Workers cut and counted more than 800 flowers Friday afternoon
HANCOCK -- With about 1,100 seniors and volunteers to feed and coordinate this weekend, the staff at Little Brothers Friends of the Elderly in Hancock are busy with preparations.
While some workers cut and counted more than 800 flowers Friday afternoon, others were writing out information cards for each home delivery.
The organization will serve dinners in eight different communities this Sunday--every meal complete with Easter candy and a chance to win a special Easter basket.
"We always provide that extra thing in life, that extra special treat that we can all use. It's friendship, it's flowers, it's music and just being with other people and celebrating," said Mike Aten, Executive Director.
There's still a big need for volunteers to help with dinners and deliveries. Anyone interested should call the Little Brothers' office.
