MARQUETTE -- Granot Loma owner Tom Baldwin will have to comply with Alger-Delta Electric Cooperative's request for easements on his property on County Road 550 in Marquette County.

The decision was handed down about 45 minutes ago in Marquette County Circuit Court.

Judge Solka determined that Baldwin is a member of the Co-op and, therefore, does not deserve compensation for the easements.  If Baldwin refuses, he'll be held liable for the costs of going around his property.

Baldwin said, "I'm disappointed.  I'm sorry that the judge is going to keep me a prisoner of Alger-Delta forever.  They really don't have property rights; that Alger-Delta can take your property wherever they want, whenever they want, for whatever reason that they want and you have no choice."

Baldwin has until April 13 to make a decision.
