Embezzlement case going to trial

Facing similar charges in Oregon

CRYSTAL FALLS -- The case of a former Northstar Health Systems employee charged with forgery and embezzlement will go to trial.

Shelly Marie Brooks is charged with 18 counts of forgery and uttering and publishing as well as one count of embezzling between $20,000 and $50,000.

Brooks is facing similar charges in Oregon while she worked at a different hospital.

The jury trial is set for May 25 and 26 in Iron County Circuit Court.
