ISHPEMING -- The Ishpeming Department of Public Works is asking that residents boil their water before consumption.

The areas affected by this advisory include those on North Third Street from Bessemer to Michigan Street, and Bessemer and Iron Streets east of Third.

The DPW says that those residents in the listed areas should boil their water three to five minutes before consuming.

A 10-inch water main that broke on Third Street is the reason for the warning.

This boil advisory will remain in effect until at least 5 p.m. Thursday.
