Event looks at invasive plant species

The Stewardship Network has teamed up with the Midwest Invasive Plant Network to host the conference.

EAST LANSING (AP) -- A two-day gathering in East Lansing is looking at how to deal with invasive plant species.

The Science, Practice and Art of Restoring Native Ecosystems conference takes place Friday and Saturday at the Kellogg Hotel and Conference Center.  It's located on the campus of Michigan State University.

The Stewardship Network has teamed up with the Midwest Invasive Plant Network to host the conference.  One goal of the event is to help educate about protecting the biodiversity of native ecosystems.

Registration is available at the door.
