MARQUETTE -- Wednesday night, the Fit Strip in Marquette played host to the Superior Land Ski Club's Wednesday night relays.

About 35 skiers turned out for the fun night of racing.  It caters to both beginner and advanced skiers.

Each week they ski on a different trail network.  Next Wednesday, they'll be at the Noquemanon Trail Head.

The event is for Superior Land Ski Club members.  It costs $25 to join.

Although there are many talented skiers at the races, it's really meant for everyone.

"I think that some people get intimidated by the "R" word--racing--and you know we have a handicapped timing system and so any team, literally everybody can be competitive."

The goal of the Superiorland Ski Club is to better trails, facilities, and to support youth skiing in the U.P.
