Federal grant money going to U.P. counties

The money is through the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Rural Development Community Facilities grant program.

DICKINSON COUNTY -- Federal grant money is coming to Dickinson and Menominee counties.

According to Congressman Bart Stupak, the City of Norway will pick up $23,000 to buy two new pickups with snow plows.

And Mellen Township has been awarded a $25,000 grant and a loan of $115,000 to buy a new pumper fire truck.

The money is through the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Rural Development Community Facilities grant program.
