That's because high waves are crashing onto the street in that area, making it unsafe for motorists and pedestrians.

MARQUETTE -- Strong winds are reducing visibilities Wednesday morning and causing a bit of a problem for one Marquette city road.

According to the Street Maintenance Department, the City of Marquette is closing Lakeshore Boulevard between Hawley and Wright Streets.

That's because high waves are crashing onto the street in that area, making it unsafe for motorists and pedestrians.
