Black Friday shopping enthusiasm continues into the weekend.

ESCANABA -- While some people headed to the mall for after Thanksgiving sales, some headed to the U.P. State Fairgrounds for the hand-crafted gifts.

The Calico Christmas Craft Show in Escanaba included wares from 80 vendors.  There was Christmas decorations, food to entertain holiday guests, and other gifts.

Organizers say attendance on Saturday was up 20 percent from last year and people seemed to be spending more.

"I'm just so proud of the community, that they've come out to support the local crafters," said organizer Donna Ritchie, "and the gift buying was tremendous on Friday and again on Saturday."

The two-day craft show ended Saturday afternoon at 4 p.m.
