DELTA COUNTY -- Authorities continue to investigate the cause of a fire that destroyed a home just outside Gladstone Wednesday afternoon.
Around 12:30 p.m., authorities arrived on the scene to find the home engulfed in smoke.
The owner, Larry Branstrom, says he was working in the backyard and noticed smoke coming from his house. After attempts to enter, he called 911 from a neighbor's phone.
The house is considered a total loss.
The cause is still unknown at this time.
