Bluetooths are quickly becoming most popular cell phone accessory
HOUGHTON -- Does anyone use their cell phone just to make calls anymore?
Now when people pick out phones it's usually the number of ringtones or the camera megapixels that matter.
And for either of those multimedia functions you're probably going to need a memory card and maybe some headphones - because new phones are all about the accessories.
"You’re carrying one device instead of many, you have an mp3 player, a camera and your phone, so it's a multitasking device and the accessories we have will compliment it nicely," says Kathy Wright, a sales manager for AT&T.
Now customers can choose from an array of accessories that are both fun and functional.
"I use my phone to take photos so I have the memory card for the computer and the Bluetooth so that I can walk around the house and clean or help my daughter do something but still be on the phone," says customer Cindy Martineau.
Bluetooth headsets and speakerphones are quickly becoming the most popular cell phone accessory.
Of course they're also the safest way to talk on your cell phone while driving.
Prices range from about $40 to $120.
"We have so many different types of Bluetooths that have basically the same features and functions but with this many options we can tailor them to make them fit an individual a little bit more," says Mike Ross, a senior sales rep for Verizon Wireless.
If you're in the market for a screen protector, a cell phone holster or a cell phone cover...you may find the large selection a little overwhelming.
But sales reps say they're there to ask questions and help you to decide which accessory or bundle of accessories will best work for you and your phone.
