Interruptions in electric service are scheduled for UPPCO and Alger-Delta electric customers.

Residents in Rapid River and the surrounding areas will be without power starting at about 2 a.m. Sunday.

Affected will be all the UPPCO customers in Masonville, Nahma, Ensign Townships, as well as UPPCO customers in Brampton Township on Days River Road, Lake Minnewasca, Brampton Lake Subdivision, 27.5 Road, and the Kipling area along Bayshore Drive.

Also affected will be the Alger-Delta REA customers in Isabella, Nahma, and Stonington areas, and all its customers north of Rapid River.

The outage is expected to last up to three hours for UPPCO customers and six hours for Alger-Delta REA customers.

The service interruptions are necessary for the utilities to complete substation and line work.
