HOUGHTON -- Real cars, real roads, real fast.

Today in the Copper Country, the final leg of the Rally America Championship brought racing fans from far and wide.

Sammy Hagar sang that I can't drive 55.  Neither can these drivers.  They have a need for speed, and Friday's race brought them to Houghton--home of rally car driver, Mason Moyle.  Mason is just 16 years old, which gives him the title of youngest driver in Rally America history.

He had a great year in this, his first year in Rally America, but he's not near the top of the overall leader board.  Canadian driver, Andrew Comrie-Picard, is near the top.  He's ranked third overall.

"All I have to do here is finish fifth or better and beat a guy named Andi Mancin from Poland, and then I finish second in the championship.  So yeah, we'd like to be first in the championship, but our goal is to finish this weekend second in the championship and then next year win it all," said Comrie-Picard.

Lofty goals and for little reward.  The big prize is bragging rights.

"Ah, bragging rights.  That's the amazing thing about Rally.  All these drivers are out here because they love it.  They don't win money right now, but they win first, second, third place; it's basically on their resume.  They get some bragging rights out of it," said Ananda Siverts, Marketing Director for Rally America.

I asked the organizing committee if I could take the FOX UP Mobile once around the track.  They assured me that these drivers are professionals and would prefer if I did not.
