FLORENCE, WI -- A Coleman, Wisconsin man is being treated for severe burns following a work-site accident Saturday.

The Florence County Sheriff's Office says the 28-year-old victim, an employee of MJ Electric of Iron Mountain, was working on a power line along an ATV trail on the south side of Fischer Lake in Florence.

A power outage knocked out electricity in the area around 11:40 a.m.

Authorities report that the victim was found by a resident shortly after, hanging nearly 40 feet in the air from a transmission tower.  The victim was still in his safety harness and conscious, but his clothes had been completely burned off.

The victim was lowered to the ground and taken to Dickinson County Memorial Hospital.

He was later flown to a burn center for treatment.

His name and condition are unknown at this time, and the accident remains under investigation.
