Is a satellite dish right for you?
NEGAUNEE -- Tuesday afternoon, the Gauthier family spent some time enjoying their newly installed Dish Network system, through Digital Entertainment.
Jason Gauthier says with the football season growing closer on the horizon, it was time to take action.
"Football season. HD quality football. People I talked to last year say it's awesome watching football in HD. So that's one of the big issues. I'm a big football fan," says Gauthier.
Dish Network and soon-to-arrive Direct-TV will both satisfy the sports fan's palate. Dish is also broadcasting the local channels that may have disappeared from your channel line-up.
"You can now get PBS, ABC, CBS and the local FOX channel--the U.P FOX station is launching mid-September. So you're going to get a lot of the Packer games and the Detroit Lion games," says Digital Entertainment president, Mike Bartholow.
That must intrigue customers, because Bartholow says 75 percent of their new Dish installations happen during football season.
No matter your satellite provider, the basic plan will get you more than 120 channels and cost you anywhere from $25 to $35 per month. Bartholow says that a dish is just the right choice.
"There's really not a lot of disadvantages. You get more channels for the money. That's what everybody wants," he says.
Expect Direct-TV's arrival in the area sometime this fall.
