Niagara man leads police on high-speed chase

A 23-year old Niagara man is arrested after fleeing and eluding.

FLORENCE COUNTY -- A Niagara man has been arrested after a high-speed chase with police Saturday night.

The Florence County Sheriff's Office says the incident began around 9 p.m. when the 23-year-old driver was pulled over for a speeding violation.

When the officer approached the vehicle, the man drove off towards downtown Aurora.

The driver led police on a chase that eventually came to an end when he drove into a ditch.

A four-year-old male was a passenger in the vehicle.

The man, whose name has not been released yet, is facing several charges and is currently lodged in Dickinson County Jail.
