It was the "Hope Starts Here" cycling challenge.
MARQUETTE -- More than 200 riders took to the streets for the 4th Annual "Hope Starts Here" cycling challenge.
All of the proceeds go towards the Upper Michigan Brain Tumor Research Center.
Riders could challenge themselves on a 40-mile ride or stick to the family-friendly 5-mile course.
For many, it was a way to support family and friends.
"It's not a very common cancer, but it's surprising of the people that come out for this, how many people know someone in their lives that have had a brain tumor," said Laurie Neldberg-Weeson of MGH.
Organizers hoped to raise more than $30,000 from Saturday's event.
