UPPER MICHIGAN -- More federal money is on its way to Michigan to care for children and prevent disease.
Michigan has been awarded over $65 million from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act to provide funding aimed at making vaccinations available to underserved populations. Five local Indian tribes will receive money:
Bay Mills Indian Community - $25,412
Hannahville Indian Community - $17,487
KBIC - $38,445
Lac Viex Desert - $7,663
Sault Tribe of Chippewa Indians - $200,021
