Many people are turning to the lottery in these hard times.
ISHPEMING -- In this economy, more and more people are becoming desperate to find a solution to their money woes...and are turning to the lottery to do it.
Jubilee Foods in Ishpeming has seen their lotto sales increase within the last few months. They say they have a few new regular customers, hoping to strike it rich quick with one of the more popular games.
"The $2 cash for an instant ticket; that seems to be one of the most popular right now. Mostly it's any of the instant scratch-off tickets," said Store Manager Dustin Gransinger.
And it's not just in our area where lotto tickets are selling fast.
More than half of all the states with lotteries are reporting an increase in lottery sales.
