MARQUETTE -- It's one of the most notable images from the Vietnam war.

And now the woman, front and center, is in Marquette to promote peace and forgiveness.

Kim Phuc was only nine years old when a picture was taken of her and other children fleeing their village after a napalm attack.

Phuc, who now lives in Canada, has dedicated her life to traveling the world to share her story.

She presented, "The Girl in the Picture," Wednesday night at NMU.

"I want to share with them and remind them what happened to me.  I was a victim of war, but I can learn and help them understand that we have to move on and learn how to forgive and be a blessing, helping another people, " said Phuc before her presentation.

Phuc spoke at the Great Lakes Room in the University Center.
