GWINN -- A Sawyer girl is back in school after a 16 day absence for not adhering to school policy by having pink highlighted hair.

Superintendent Mike Maino says he advised Natasha's principal to let her return to the school and there is nothing to be gained from her absence.
In a Monday night meeting of the Gwinn Area Community Schools, the board decided to form a committee made up of parents, teachers, and administrators to review other school policies of other schools. The committee is then to report back to the board with their recommendations.
There is a meeting of the policy committee this afternoon at K.I. Sawyer Elementary School, according to Natasha's mother.
