American Eagle is reducing flights to Chicago.

SAWYER -- American Eagle flights at Sawyer International are being reduced.  Officials say by the end of the month, daily flights to Chicago will go from three to one.

Airport Manager Keith Kaspari says the drop is a result of American Eagle maintenance work being shuffled nationwide and it has nothing to do with down passenger numbers or the economy.

It's simply to give mechanics some extra time to work on planes.

Kaspari does say the reduction is only temporary.

All three flights should be restored by the end of the summer.
